SSPY: The UP government provides several pension programs to the most disadvantaged and vulnerable groups. The Government offers three types of pension schemes for the elderly, widows, and disabled. Uttar Pradesh grants a three-month pension to elderly, widowed women, and disabled residents. The State Government pays the equivalent amount of pension each month to eligible pensioners. The pension system supports state seniors with a fixed amount allocated to the poorest eligible citizens.
Eligible seniors can take advantage of the Uttar Pradesh old age Pension Yojana by registering under the program. As already mentioned, the beneficiary of the Uttar Pradesh state disability pension scheme receives 500 rupees, and the main eligibility criteria for joining the system is a disability of 40%.
SSPY-UP Pension Scheme

Old Age Pension UP Eligibility
- Age: Minimum 60 years
- Income: Rs. 46080 for Rural Area and for Urban Area Rs. 56460
- Monthly Grant: Rs. 500
- Not eligible if the applicant (Old Age Pension) is benefited from other pension schemes
- Documents Needed:
- Passport size photo of the applicant,
- Applicant’s income certificate
Widow Pension Scheme Eligibility
- Age: From Minimum 18 till joining other welfare scheme
- Income: Rs. 2.00 Lakh
- Not eligible if the applicant (Widow Pension) is benefited from other pension schemes
- Monthly Grant: Rs. 500
- Document Upload:
- Passport Size Photo of the Applicant,
- Death Certificate of Husband,
- Photocopy of Passbook in Bank Statement,
- Income Statement Proof
Divyang Pension Scheme Eligibility
- Age: Minimum 18, Maximum 150
- Income: For Rural Area Rs. 46080 And For Urban Area Rs. 56460
- Disability: Percentage Minimum 40, Maximum 100
- Not eligible if the applicant (Divyang Pension) is benefited from other pension
- schemes
- Monthly Grant Rs. 500
- Documents Upload:
- Passport size photo of the applicant
- Applicant’s disability certificate
- Applicant’s Income certificate
- Gram Sabha proposal in case of rural area and copy of bank passbook in case of the urban area.
Leprosy Pension Scheme Eligibility
- Age: Minimum 18, Maximum 150
- Income: For Rural Area Rs. 46080 And For Urban Area Rs. 56460
- Leprosy Percentage: Minimum 40, Maximum 100
- Not eligible if the applicant (Leprosy Pension) is benefited from other pension schemes
- Monthly Grant: Rs. 2500
- Documents Upload:
- Passport size photo of the applicant.
- Applicant’s leprosy certificate.
- Applicant’s Income certificate.
- Gram Sabha proposal in case of rural area and copy of bank passbook in case of the urban area.
